Summary
Commissioned by the New South Wales Combined Colliery Proprietors Association, this film seeks to establish that modern coal mining can be done while protecting and even improving the environment for wildlife, farming and the community.
The film opens with vision of important industry, electricity and transportation needs, before showing various efforts to minimise airborne dust pollution, water treatment, underground slag disposal and open cut land rehabilitation.
